 |
Steve R. Belilove is a co-founding partner of the firm and is the head of the firm’s appellate department. Mr. Belilove’s litigation and trial practice consists of all forms of professional liability and personal injury defense. His professional liability practice has an emphasis in legal malpractice and medical malpractice. Mr. Belilove also has extensive experience in personal injury, malicious prosecution, insurance coverage, products liability, premises liability, public entity, employment practices liability, landlord/tenant, and business litigation. He has extensive experience in all phases of personal injury claims from investigation through trial. While working in-house at a major Southern California company, Mr. Belilove was head of the Fraud Unit where he specialized in handling catastrophic injury cases. Throughout his 20 year career, Mr. Belilove has been on the defense panel for numerous national insurance companies. Mr. Belilove has been designated as an expert in legal malpractice, abuse of process, and malicious prosecution actions. Mr. Belilove has also presented seminars on the prosecution of fraud and personal injury actions. He was honored to serve as a panelist regarding ethical considerations and management of medical records for the Institute of Paralegal Education. Mr. Belilove has been appointed by the Los Angeles Superior Court as a mediator and as an arbitrator in personal injury and professional liability cases. Mr. Belilove has been retained by insurance companies to audit attorney billing statements and to conduct risk management seminars for law firms. Mr. Belilove is admitted to practice before all California State Courts and the Central District of the United States District Court of California. He received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Whittier College School of Law. He served as an editor of the Whittier Law Review. Mr. Belilove earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of California at Los Angeles. |
